On His Heavenly Throne
As I lay sleeping an angel appeared, He then softly whispered into my ear. "Come with me, you will suffer no more, I was told to take you to meet the Lord."
As I felt the fading of this beating heart, I knew on a journey I was soon to start. My spirit ascended way above my bed, And then soon after I knew I was dead.
I saw a long tunnel with lights at the end, I heard the voices of family and friends. They are all in white with beautiful wings, In this same instant I heard the choir sing.
Way off in the distance I saw beautiful gates, I saw St. Peter standing in wait. I saw another man in a robe of white, With such a glorious halo shining so bright.
Upon his head is a crown made of jewels, With diamonds, rubies, and beautiful pearls. Softly and tenderly he reaches out his hand, He said, "Welcome, child, to Gods glory land.
I saw the treasures beneath my feet, Profusions of silver and gold on the street. Many beautiful wonders to me were shown, With serenity and love I have never known.
I knew I had ascended to heaven above, Because never before have I felt such love. "Oh, what ecstasy," I said with a moan, As I saw God on his heavenly throne!
