A Walk In Your Shoes
I'm writing this poem today to all of you Who's having a hard time just getting through I know that words are so easy to say If you're not one having a bad day
I've told you before of how I have lived Of how I have sinned and couldn't forgive So as I was telling you about my life I hope I helped to keep you from strife
I pray my poems can help someone else To keep you from mistakes that I made myself I know it's hard when you're going through pain And you don't want to hear it over again
But I want you to know that my poems are true And that I wouldn't lie-not even to you I'm going to turn fifty seven years old And I don't always believe everything I'm told
For not everyone has walked in your shoes So to everyone lots of respect we should show For we are all sinners in Gods eyes, I know I just wanted to tell you what God did for me
So I hope a better person He's helped me to be But before I'd tell anyone else what to do I think I'd first take a walk in your shoes
