From Me To You

A big brother is a special part,
Of ones life and ones heart.

I need to say how much I care,
About the life that we shared.

You're always there if I'm in need,
I appreciate your good deeds.

There for me you've always been,
Sometimes you've even taken me in.

I remember when you were young,
You would hunt to feed everyone.

You got a job for weekly pay,
Working dawn to dusk every day.

You gave your pay to our mother,
To feed your sisters and your brothers.

You cut wood to give us all heat,
To tired to hardly stand on your feet.

You milked cows in the early dawn,
Then at night you mowed the lawn.

You carried water from an old well,
Sometimes half a mile with an old pail.

I hope you know how I appreciate
The many sacrifices that you made.

So my brother, from me to you,
Happy birthday and I love you!
