Treasure Chest Of Memories

Many memories come back to me,
The older I get so much more I see.
I see the highs sown to the depths.
With so many births and so many deaths.

I've seen much joy and too many tears,
Throughout my life of fifty seven years.
I remember so much more it seems,
If not in this life then in my dreams.

I have laughed and I have wept,
I have seen His angels as I slept.
Before these things I could never find,
Hidden in the portals of my mind.

I have seen my father that I never knew,
The precious moments that I had with you.
Much closer to my family today I feel,
It seems as if my life today stands still.

I guess these things just come with age,
When everyday we turn another page.
Remember to get old is not depressing,
It is a gift in the form of Gods blessing.

I treasure all these things He let me see,
Within my treasure chest of memories.
