Today, Baby Girl, is your special day.
Here are some things I want to say.
Today, dear, I will pour out my heart
I hope I finish before tear drops start.
Of my newborn baby I was so proud,
I showed you to everyone in a crowd.
I dressed you in a pretty pink knit suit,
With big blue eyes you were so cute.
Oooss and ahhhs was music in my ear,
For only praises of you I would hear.
Two years old you came to my bed,
I didn`t understand a word you said.
On your little face was big lumps,
I knew then you had the mumps.
You were so funny that I had to laugh,
In those cute little pigtails that you had.
You talked to your imaginary friends,
And brought your dolls for me to mend.
I bet you thought I forgot those years,
When I wiped away your tears.
You were always a delicate child,
All of us loved that little precious smile.
To be ignored you just could not stand,
You caught invisible bugs in your hands!
Forever in my mind will be those days,
Of you, Baby Girl, now, Happy Birthday!
