GOD GAVE ME A BABY GIRL Thirty nine years ago on this day, A baby girl in my arms was laid. Big blue eyes and hair so dark, Gave to my heart a lasting spark. Ever since, dear, you were born, I think about that early morn. I remember how my heart raced, As I looked upon your tiny face. Many magic moments of you linger, Of a tiny hand clasping on my finger. You had no strangers in your world, Just so full of love was my baby girl. A trip to the zoo at the age of three, You were so excited at all you seen. "Indian, mommy," screamed my little girl, As you saw a peacock feathers unfurl. Even as a child you had a a serious side. One time your eyes opened so wide, As by a window a shadow had dashed. "It`s a monster," to us all you lashed. If you got sick you would come to me, "My tummy hurts, mommy, feel and see." When you insisted on combing our hair. You made us pony tails high in the air. There isn`t the time to say what`s inside. How my life is full of such love and pride. Of the little miracle God sent my way, I love you Baby Girl and Happy Birthday.
