Take Me As I Am
Through my life I couldn't find, The words to say what's on my mind.
For oh so long I'd lost my pride, And I felt so lost inside.
So now to get this off my chest, For I've not done what you thought best.
I never thought I could compare, To those I love, to those who care.
Then one day these words I spew, With pen and paper they came through.
So with Him standing at my side, No more I have to run and hide.
So take me as I am, I plead, For your respect, I really need.
But if to you, my words come home, Then I'll know I'm not alone.
It's not what's in this shell of mine, It's how it got there throughout time.
I feel so honored, now you see, Because the Lord is using me.
