If our Lord was number one
What a world this would become
If upon His word we would stand
We'd need no courts in our land
I really think if we all believed
We'd have no murders then to grieve
If by his commandments we all lived
There would be no reason to forgive
There would be no wars on our earth
Every race would be of equal worth
We'd love our neighbors as ourselves
And all would be of equal wealth
With no want, we would all share
For all mankind, we would care
With no theft and no greed
All would have what they need
There'd be no reason for us to lie
If all our hearts were truth inside
If there was no lust within our hearts
So many families would not part
There would be no children hurt again
If we would all turn away from sin
To honor our parents as we should
Would teach us all so much good
There would be no reason to compete
For without sin we would be complete
If graven images we did not adore
All would go through heavens door
