| THE STARS IN HEAVEN Tonight as I look up toward Heaven Our mighty universe is full of stars Today the angels took another seven As they traveled home from afar The astronauts from across our nation And even some from across the seas This world now seeks an explanation In a search of reasons for our tragedy When we see the twinkle of the stars And feel the tears fall from our eyes Maybe they won`t seem so far As Gods love brightens the skies And as we search those stars at night Far beyond the moon and Milky Way As God took them home in their flight And we all bowed our heads to pray I know the sky tonight is brighter Though many hearts today are low Your heavy heart I pray will be lighter With precious memories God bestows Next time we all look up toward the sky As together we mourn the mighty seven Mountains of tears for them we will cry We will remember the stars in heaven Written By Thelma Shutters 2-02-03 |
