Bed Of Roses
Some people live in a bed of roses And to the poor-turn up their noses. I don't think they understand How quickly fate can turn it's hand. Maybe just the cards we're dealt That's made us sick and took our health. Not able to work-we lose our home Then there we are all alone. Have you wondered what you'd do With no home and no food? Not a dollar to your name I wonder if you'd feel the same? I'm not homeless but I've been close Lived in a car to change my clothes. Though only for a couple days Until I found a job that paid. In my way was always pride I felt so empty deep inside. So very desperate I have been But loving family took me in. In my heart was much defeat Til I stood on my own feet. God has a way to make things right They turn around just overnight. When you reach the end of a rope Remember, Friend, there's always hope. One day the season God will change In a bed of roses then you'll lay.
