It Takes A Village

God gave us senses to be aware,
To keep us safe within his care.
Two eyes to see, two ears to hear,
A nose to smell, a sense of fear.
Intuition that somethings wrong,
Might give someone a life, so long.
Law enforcement does its best,
But can't lie alone on their chest.
Much public awareness we all need.
So protect your neighbor with good deeds.
Hold them close to your heart,
Then they too, will do their part.
"Neighborhood Watch" are not just words.
For around the world they are heard.

Watch their children as your own,
Care for the elderly thats left alone.
To keep our homes safe inside,
Keep eyes and ears open wide.
If you want to put crime to rest,
Then we must all do our best.
And if together we all stood,
There'd be no crime in our neighborhood.
So when you see someone pillage,
Remember, my friend, "It Takes A Village."
