He watched while I was sinning.
And told me not to be untrue.
He told me from the beginning,
All the things I should not do.
He warned me about revenge.
He said it would change my life.
Then when another I avenged,
Let me deal with my own strife.
He told me of the consequences.
He said, "For years you will pay,
Until you come to your senses
I will not take your sins away".
Then He let me think He left me,
Although He was always near.
But He only wanted me to see,
What I did to myself for years.
When I asked Him to forgive me,
Asked He please take all my pain,
Show me reasons for me to be,
So I could start living life again.
When I had reached my limit,
All He knew I could bear,
Then at the Last Fateful Minute,
The Lord took me in his care.
