My Home Town

I owe so much to my home town,
For it has never let me down.
I moved here a few years past,
I didn't know if it would last.
I needed my life to be restored,
From all the towns I'd lived before.
Everyone here is so kind,
They gave me such peace of mind.
This small town is hard to beat,
I'm proud to walk upon their streets.
In numbers we are very few,
But we will truly welcome you.
Everyone here is so sweet,
When you meet them on the street.
So if you happen down this way,
We hope that you will want to stay.
And if a new life, you must choose,
In this small town, you can not lose.

In the fall we have a dance,
So everyone can have a chance,
To let their hair down for awhile,
To make us laugh and make us smile.
I want to spend my life here through,
I hope that you will be here too.
So I ask the Lord to bless this town,
Where peace and solace I have found.
