Up to 70 families (kids and parents)

What:

·       Ganesh Pooja, done by kids, assisted by adults, guided by a Poojari

·       Other features: Bhajans, Bharat Natyam dance performance, Exhibition on Hindu Culture & Dharmic Traditions, KBRE awards ceremony

·       Lunch Prasadam after Pooja

Why:

·       Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi “hands-on”

·       Teach kids how to do Ganesh Pooja and the significance of each step

·       Facilitate kids with families to share in their heritage together in a big way

How:

Each family to bring their own:

·       One plate (preferably a metallic one)

·       Some rice (2-3 cups)

·       2 fruits

·       Beetle leaves + Supaari (Beetle Nuts)

·       Flowers

·       2 small cups and a spoon, preferably metallic

·       Some coins for Dakshina (offering to Ganesha)
