Description:

The JSEARCH is a Java Applet which can be used
to make a query to several search engines without
going to their homepages.

Simply type the search phrase & choose the search
engine & press go. The search results will open in
another window.

There are in all 14 search engines which can be queried.
These include

  • Google (default)
  • Yahoo
  • Web Crawler
  • E-Bay
  • Lycos
  • CNet Download
  • Go.com
  • Ask Jeeves
  • Excite
  • Look Smart
  • Search Power
  • Hotbot
  • C-Net
  • Dogpile

This list can be modified using the source code.

It is a Java Applet, so that it can be put into your webpages
to make them alive.

Installation:

To install simply unzip contents of the zip file into a folder, & click on search.html


Requirements:

486 or higher
16MB RAM
3MB hard disk space
OS : any
Java Enabled Browser (if you don't have it, you may download
the java plugin for your browser)
