The Aquada is the first of a proposed 200 amphibious sports cars to be produced in the next month, designed by New Zealand tycoon Alan Gibb. When questioned on his relationship to the Bee Gees he gave no comment.
The new model took 7 years to master, and was designed in 3 different locations. An unnamed factory worker told TheHumourStopsHere, “It’s no bloody wonder it took so long when they were trying to do it in so many places! We’d be doing one thing in Auckland and the Detroit factory would be doing something completely different, and no one would realise until the project was finished and three completely different cars were revealed! I tell you, all that starting again really wastes time and money.”
This new technology will probably be used for 4x4s, buses and military vehicles in the near future according to official gossips, although what kind of bus fare they would charge the passenger to travel from Copenhagen to Rio De Janeiro by amphibious bus is as yet uncertain. As is the length of the journey, as the new Aquadas have top speeds of around 100mph on land, where the speed limits are imposed rather lower, but only 30mph on water, where nobody but the fish would care.
To add to the glamour and technology of the whole operation, these exciting new vehicles are powered by a Rover 2.5l V6 engine. Expect to hear more this October in the way of loud bangs and slow road death…
