Fears: Not being able to help the tribe when she is most needed, and swift running rivers.

Likes: Getting to know other members of the tribe, picking wildflowers and weaving them into garlands, and generally being useful.

Dislikes: Confrontation of any sort - especially within the tribe, fierce storms, and rudeness.

Personality: A shy, mild-mannered elfess who doesn't like being the center of attention. She is always kind to everyone, and tries to make others feel comfortable. She has a big heart, and her compassion and empathy make her somewhat vulnerable. She is very open, and will share with anyone who asks. This has gotten her hurt before, but that doesn't stop her from being the way she is. She will try to avoid confrontation of any sort, but if she is involved, she will stand up for herself and anyone she feels is in the right.

She is very humble, and gets even shyer (if possible) when people compliment her. She sees her healing ability as a gift from the High Ones, and will take no credit for a successful healing, directing thankfulness toward the proper source in her mind.

Sees Self As: A good friend and confidant. Anyone can come to her with any sort of problem, and she will respond with advice, or simply just a sympathetic ear.

History: Myrna was born in the Sun Village to Keatha and Loren from their second Recognition. She led a happy, sheltered childhood, and never wanted for anything. She came into her healing powers in her hunderedth year, and used it joyfully. She loved to help others, and was grateful that the high ones had given her the gift. She continued her life of peace without a thought to the outside world, ... until recently. She started hearing a call - she couldn't tell what it was, or who it was from, but it pulled at her, distracting her from her daily work. Her family and friends noticed the change, and her growing restlessness.

Finally she decided that she had to leave - the call pulled at her almost nonstop, and she knew that she would have no peace until she found out who was sending it. Her brother Kayad decided to go with her as protection, and they left, much to her parents' grief.

The brother and sister traveled for many days, following the call that Myrna heard. All went well until they were attacked near a river by a big cat. Kayad tried to fight off the creature, but it became obvious that he didn't stand a chance. He told Myrna to jump into the water to save herself, and the terrified elfess obeyed. As she was swept down the river, she saw her brother fall to the ground before she lost sight of him. She was tossed about in the current like a stick until she managed to grab hold of an overhanging branch and pull herself out. Shivering, scared, and alone she did all that she could do - continue to follow the call.

Quote: "Life is too precious to waste on yourself. Live it for others."
