“Yet Another Poem About Girls”

I know
I am just a boy and
you are just a girl and
all of us are merely
specks of dust
on the face of this world
but this, it matters,
with your body
a perfect machine
with fingers and
legs and lips of dreams
and I bow before
your infinite beauty
at just twenty one
in a photograph
with a cap and a gown
you
you are truly
the queen of this town
but this it matters
and I long to hold you again
I long to whisper your name and
I long to kiss your soul and
I long for us to be together on the face of the world.
