THE NATION THAT CRIED WOLF

America is the big bad wolf.

It’s obvious to anyone. America struts around the world bullying, raping and pillaging any other nation it feels like, and think it has a God-given right to do so.

And why? Because it is America. Because it has self-appointed itself as a ‘good’ nation. Because it believes that it is an inherently right nation, correct and morally righteous in every way, so that whatever it does, is the Right thing to do purely because that’s what it wants to do. Because America has always been right, so whatever it does is right, irrespective of if it is right or not, because America wants to do.

How righteous. What insufferable arrogance.

Right now, America is invading countries at will. Stripping them bare of assets and threatening those who challenge its righteousness. Locking up anyone it even thinks of acting against its own interests and denying them access to doctors, lawyers, or due process.

It bulldozes the crops of farmers who refuse to co-operate with America’s investigations into terrorist activity. Though of course they only refuse to co-operate because they haven’t actually got anything to do with any terrorists.

It does these things because America believes it is inherently ‘Good’. And when good countries do bad things, just because these countries believe themselves to be ‘good’, these bad things become inherently good. Murder is good. Napalm is good. Regime Change, Weapons of Mass Distraction, Hypocrisy and Bad Movies. All Good.

America is not what it thinks it is. America is judged by what it does. If America does ‘bad’ things, America is bad. Evil is not some axis, not what you are, but evil is something you do. No nation is inherently good, or inherently bad. Nations do not have personalities. Nations are judged by their actions. A good nation that does bad things is a bad nation.

Straightforward logic, unless you’re an American. Then you think that the end justifies the means. That bad things done for good reasons become good things.

But don’t worry. If Iraq has Weapons Of Mass Destruction and can attack within 45 minutes, it’s liable for invasion. If America has Weapons Of Mass Destruction and can attack within 45 minutes, it’s liable to appoint itself God.

Oh, the hypocrisy. Smells like napalm.

In the meantime, Israel has decided that Syria is part of the Axis Of Evil (purely for existing), and, as such, Israel has just bombed it. For no other reason than it felt like it. Israel is turning into everything it despised about Nazi Germany : a bully state practicing genocide. Hitler decided that Poland was part of an Axis of Evil, or something like that, and invaded that as well. And we all know where that lead didn’t we?

It only takes one wrong invasion, one stupid, dunderheaded, hypocritical bombing mission by a President with something to prove and nothing to lose but the future of the entire human race, and voila! Instant Apocalypse!

Mankind is on the brink of extinction, lead by self-appointed rulers that practice hypocrisy and idiocy on a grand scale. In the meantime, most of the rest of the world is powerless to prevent it.

Well. It’s been nice knowing you all. Shame some people are so dumb stupid they’d rather have an Apocalypse than try to look beyond such outdated control concepts of religion and nationality and try to peacefully co-exist. Maybe I’m an old hippy. But I know one thing.

When the Apocalypse comes, it won’t be due to any actions of any rational human being. It will be due to the actions of a short-sighted power-mad minority in control and we will all suffer.

Yes, Tony Blair. You will be judged when you meet your maker. It might be sooner than you think. Just because you’ve got power and money doesn’t insulate you from stupidity. Or extinction.
