WHY THIS SITE DOESN'T GET UPDATED FOR A WHILE

OK, I admit it. It’s true. I haven’t written anything for the site for a while because…

Well, there is no real reason. I suppose it’s just because other things happen as well. Sitting in front of this screen, trying to write isn’t always the most thrilling thing to do. For example, sometimes sleep, downloading MP3’s, or making furniture is even more interesting than writing.

Which is why I don’t update this as often as I might want to. I used to update the site every other day, or every day when I was feeling amazingly productive. Or bored. Or lonely.

If I haven’t updated the site for a while generally it’s because I’ve been busy doing other stuff : aside from sleeping, downloading MP3’s, and making furniture, I’ve also been travelling all around the UK, and elsewhere in the world (including Leeds, Reading, Chelmsford, Edinburgh, Bristol, Malta, Vegas, Birmingham, Brighton...) going to gigs, staying in, seeing friends, celebrating my thirtieth birthday, looking after a rabbit, oh, and going to work for a living.

Being busy is what it’s all about. Modern culture is too fast, there’s too much happening, too much exposure, too many things, to really take it in, too much to absorb. Somebody stop the world. I don’t want to get off. I just want to take my time and get it right. Our tolerances for the things we used to have time for don’t exist anymore.

I’m getting really bad tempered in my old age. It’s horrid. I used to be merely grumpy. Now, I’m vile. Well, I’m sure some people would already agree with me on that one, but my temper is vile.

There's simply far too much happening to update this site as often as I'd like to. I'm always writing for the site, always working, always thinking of new things. Sometimes it takes a while for you to see them.... but I'm always working on it. Come back and check in from time to time.
