“UNREQUITED LOVE POEM no.410” 17 Aug 94

Sitting there and
everyday at six o clock
you read Jilly Cooper’s Rivals
on the train
our eyes meet
and shyly fly away
reading significance into anything
especially today
put down the book and notice me

Giving up on love and
becoming a monk.
