“TODAY” 22 May 96
When I die
it will be another ordinary day
another dull sunrise
another grey sky
someone will fall in love
someone will kiss for the first time
someone will breathe for the last time
but it will be enough
but it will never be enough
somewhere someone will weep with joy
another life into this world
my hands will turn grey with cold
blood congeals inside old veins
a child is born, a father dies alone
turn your cheeks to the breeze by the sea
someone will smile, someone will cry
I slump in front of the TV
and breathe for the last time
on another ordinary day.
