“STOLEN NAME” 28-10-02
Winters coming down
the nights are moving closer
with every breath you move
further away
On the morning train
in the commuter belt
you took my name
and gave me a form of hell
And when I know I’ve had enough
romance tries to crush what’s left
the world squeezes out
yet more cruelty from love
Are you happy where you are?
Did you get what you want?
Does the sun shine on your parade?
This is what you wanted -
to rip off the planet
and leave everyone else to pay the debts
Walk with the pride of a thief
with stolen wallets in stolen coats
and signing with your stolen name.
