Everybody knows your heart is broken
everybody fights but the war is lost
everybody knows the gun is smoking
nobody counts the human cost
everybody knows not to touch
the flame when it is hot
this world would be a paradise
if we could cure with just one shot
all our ills

everybody knows the future of mankind
everybody tells us how to think
all that’s left will be fossilised
and we will be fuel when we are extinct
the news has been designed
the monkeys screech for war
original thought is original sin for
the softest dinosaur

love is the power
and the glory
the only cause
worth fighting for
