“PROMISES GROW OLD” 06 Sept 03

I held you in these arms
Love always grow cold
Lovers make promises
But promises grow old

My thoughts have turned to evil
Of that I will admit
I was cast out from your temple
For crimes I did not commit

For our crime was passion
And you were blind to the truth
There was nothing you believed in
But the folly of youth

You couldn’t believe me
Baby you let me go
But truth is my beauty
Your promises grow old.
