"The people are the masters.
We are the servants of the people.
We will never forget that and,
if we ever do, the people will very soon show that
what the electorate gives, the electorate can take away."
Tony Blair, 1997
YOUVE MADE YOUR JIHAD ... YOU BETTER DIE IN IT
Tony Blair dismissed this in his speech yesterday. He didnt talk about how important it is for democracy to listen to the will of the people. Or how protests a fraction of the size of this were enough to herald the end of Margaret Thatcher.
Instead he, and his spin-doctors talked about the number of people Saddam has killed as a consequence of his actions. Not, of course, the number of people Tony and George have killed as a result of their actions. As a result of their failure to compromise. As a result of their desire for war, and not to lose face. Face is all important if youre a bully. You need to be perceived to be in control, even if you cant master a sentence.
The problem is, if two million are so furious as to hold the biggest demonstrations this country has ever seen, then surely the Government have to listen. Because if the Government are failing to represent the will of the people, and Tony goes ahead with a war that millions and millions of people vehemently oppose, then it will cost him millions and millions of votes.
What I fear is that in the next election, the Tory party win. Mankind has a habit of not learning from its mistakes. Were on the verge of yet another war. And the pride of oil barons will destroy us all.
And if the Government are misrepresenting the people, then the democratic process doesnt work, and were living in a dictatorship. Its time for Regime Change. Now all I need is a viable alternative.

HOW QUICKLY THEY FORGET
The cost is far beyond anything that any Government is responsible or mature enough to accept. This war is nothing but a repainted version of colonialism. America is building an empire. This isnt a war. A war (as Bill Hicks said) is where two parties are fighting. This is an invasion built on a flimsy pretext. Its genocide. Murder for oil.
Were talking about a President whos never fought in a war. A Prime Minister thats only ever seen it on television. This is a war of ignorance and irresponsibility.
And if we are going to go after the terrorists, the first thing Id do would be to lock up Tom Clancy and stop him writing : despite the fact that its a service to mankind, hes the biggest terrorist there is : just look at the plots of his novels.
This is the first war that has been fought in the Internet age. The first war where the Party line is not the only view that the public have access to. The first war where anyone with a search engine can analyse the lies forwarded by the military and know exactly how much - or little - of what theyre telling us is true.
For the first time, the powers that be are trying to conduct a propoganda war in the age of the Internet. And they're losing. Because the military are just another news source, and a team of select sloganeers deep inside government are never as clever as the combined intellect of the rest of the people, the truth will out. You cant fool all the people all the time. You can only look like a fool if you try to.
The people have spoken. The Government have chosen not to listen. This is not democracy. It is a dictatorship. We are not doves, nor are we hawks. We do not harbour a bloodlust. Nor do we wish peace at any price. But we know that entering into a war with a country that has no actual links to the terrorist pretext is morally reprehensible. Especially when the war will cost billions and billions of pounds and thousands, if ultimately not millions, of lives. And the ultimate consequences will be the apocalypse. We all know George and Tony read the Bible. Are they secretly thinking Yes, I Am The Chosen One To Bring Mankind To Its Knees?.
Is it any wonder the people dont want a war?
YOUVE MADE YOUR JIHAD... YOU BETTER DIE IN IT

For every Iraqi that the warmongers murder there will be a martyr. For every martyr someone, somewhere will wish a vengence against the aggressor. Thats human nature. Yes George and Tony, history will judge you. You will be infamous. Not as protectors of peace, or democracy, or the other badges of hypocrisy that you claim to act for. But as the people who instigated genocide. Who are amongst the four statesmen of the Apocalypse.
You got your Jihad, and youve dragged the rest of the human race along with you. I just hope that there will be history books in the future so that they may condemn you.
Youre a liar Tony. Youve forgotten that the people are the masters and you are just the servant. What the electorate gives, it can take away. That is not a threat. But a promise. The people too have a voice. We WILL use it. For without it, there is no such thing as democracy.
