“CLEMENCY” 12-11-02

We are so small
on the surface of things
each of us is a miracle
but none of us Kings
not even Gods
but caretakers of the earth
to live & to love
to earn our worth

These wars we have
each small apocalypse
ultimately meaningless
in the annals of history
for love is bigger
than any Flag.
Larger than any God.
Mankind must free itself

from all that is cold
from all that is cruel
from all that is dark
from all that resembles evil

or Mankind will be free
from this earth
like a virus with shoes
we will be removed.
