We have tamed the atom
and interplanetary space travel
we have created feature film
poetry and the cure
to change your silicone face
but still
we kill and murder those
who are not like us
we kill and murder those
whose skin is a different hue
who kiss lips like their own
who believe in Gods of other names

we have yet to find a cure
for prejudice or an antidote to stupidity
we have yet to tame the beast inside
or to tolerate difference
