“BLUE” 9 Feb 94
You’re dying
I can hear it
over the wire
there’s still dignity
but so much left undone
Nobody wants to die alone
pride before the storm
touched my heart
with the strength of a man
and having so little time on your hands
not having the strength
love to shout
into the wind
but there’s never enough time
it takes so little
just a fragrance of memory
to conjour your image
silently in front of me
Nothing changes
the mark left upon the world
the words you chose
touched my world
I wish there was something I could do.
