“LOVE SONG FROM AN ASTRONAUT” 2 Dec 96

It’s all so tiny
I can’t even see the Great Wall
It could b obliterated
it wouldn’t matter at all
in Zero G
in this rocks orbit
the lonely astronaut
and I am thinking of
Mary White
whom I drunkenly took home
when I was twenty three
tonight she will curl to her husband
and lullaby her sons
under the stars she sees
in the same sky that contains me
