“ALL MEN DIE EQUAL” 18 Feb 02

As the half light of dusk
turns the future into the past
all human life
is not built to last

all men die equal
some more equal than others
a death of privilege
or a death from poverty’s labour

from asbestos hidden in ceiling
or a life spent working for a living
the rich comforted from their feelings
still die and get to touch heaven.
