“AIN’T NO CURE FOR LIFE” 16 Sept 03

I tried to be a good man
I played the fool
Life in all its permutations
A prison consists of rules

Every sunrise could be the last
This is the price I pay
The ghosts of the past
The future yet unmade

A prince in paradise
Comfortable but lame
The chances that I had
I threw them all away

There ain’t no cure for life
Time always wins in the end
If I could have my time
I’d want to live it all over again

Everyone I love
Will one day leave
I have faith in the good of man
A reward for those who believe

I will take it all
The good and the bad
Its better to have loved and lost
Than to have never had

There ain’t no cure for life
Time always wins in the end
If I could have my time
I’d want to change everything.
