Dark Cloud 2

Dark Cloud 2 offers you something most games dont: an amazing amount of freedom to do what you want, when you want. From the beginning you are told where to go and how to do it, but you will often find yourself straying from the storyline to things such as take pictures of your town, beat records, catch fish, play spheda (golf), and the list keeps going on. I'm not saying the story line is bad, or course, infact it is quite well done.

You are confronted by a girl claiming she is from the future. You play in the "past" and must build cities that in the future will help defeat a great evil. The game nicely introduces you to everything you can do by weaving it into the storyline. Dark Cloud 2 also offers you a great variety of customization, from your clothes, to your fishing rod, to your robot's weapons and battery.

Graphics look very nice do to execellant use of cell shading. Sound is also up to par. My only real complaint about this game is that it has a very cheap and frustrating ending and that you are constantly reminded on invisible walls that prevent you from going places. Most everything else is amazing.
