The Bottom Line

"Reasons I Am Glad I Was Alive Today"

The PATH train conductor instructing passengers to “Exit towards the open side of the train.”  God bless anyone who legitimately thinks that the proper means for exiting is to ignore the perfectly good open doors behind them, pry apart the closed doors on the other side of the train so that they can exit down onto the actual track, then do a pull-up to get back onto the platform, and THEN be on the opposite side of the platform the staircase is on.

It's a good thing I'm alive this month or I would've missed this:

1. Seeing a street vendor in New York City with a sign on his cart that said: "Book Sale. $7 and up. $12 and up." Just think about that one...

2. Finding out Norv Turner's real name is Norval. I just think that's downright silly.

3. After pumping gas at a local station, the gas pump offered me the following options for a receipt: "Yes" and "No, thanks." Because even though we treat them otherwise, gas pumps have feelings too.

4. Discovering that Elon College seemingly plays a game every single day. If it's a Monday or Wednesday, you can set your clock by the Elon-High Point 7pm matchup.

5. Realizing the insignificance of the button designated by the "Push this button to cross, wait for signal" at crosswalks. In no way, shape or form, do the traffic lights change their patterns so you can get to the other side of the road quicker.
