Mac walked into the bus station lobby and over to the ticket window. Can I help you, asked the clerk? Yes, can I have a ticket on the next bus she asked? Sure, but dont you want to know where its going he asked as he looked at the computer screen. No, it doesnt really matter she replied. How much is the ticket? Twenty five dollars he replied. Mac dug into her bag and pulled out the exact amount and handed it to the clerk. He in return handed her the ticket. Thanks she said with a faint smile. Mac walked over to the bench and sat down to wait for the next bus. She flipped open the envelope and discovered that the bus would take her to Boston. Perfect she said. I just need to get away from here! She couldnt get what she had seen that night out of her mind and Brittanys word kept ringing through her mind. Stop it she cried to herself. Just stop it! Suddenly Mac heard the bus station door open and someone approached her. Where do you think youre going, asked an all too familiar voice? Mac looked up into the eyes of Billy. What are you doing here she hissed as she stood to face him. What do you think Im doing here, he asked? Im here to stop you from walking out of my life! Well you cant stop me, she cried. The hell I cant he replied. How did you even know I was here, she asked? Because Mac, were so close, I know everything you know, I feel everything you feel he replied as he reached out to wipe away the tears that were running down her cheeks. Please just listen to me he pleaded. Fine, but if by the time the bus arrives I dont believe you, Im leaving Mac replied. Well see about that, he said. Look Mac I know what you think you saw, but it wasnt real! Are you calling me a liar, she asked? No, I truly believe you saw Brittany topless on top of me, but did you see me without clothes he asked. Well no, but it looked so real replied Mac. Well Jack and I have watched the first part of the tape over and over again and you can clearly tell that by the time Brittany turned off the camera I was dead asleep said Billy as he watched Macs face for a reaction. But Billy it looked so real cried Mac. Do you have any idea what seeing that did to me? Yeah Mac I do, thats why Im trying
to prove to you it didnt happen he said. Why should I believe you Mac cried? Because Mac he said. Because why Billy she asked? Because I love you Mac he replied! You what she asked? You heard me, he said. I love you! And dont you think that if I love you I would be faithful to you? Mac sat down on the bench again and covered her face with her hands. Oh Mac, please dont cry he said soothingly as he sat down next to her. I want to believe you Billy, but my eyes are telling me one thing and my heart is telling me another she said when she looked over at him. Im not sure which one to believe! You do know Mac, you know you should listen and trust your heart replied Billy. He slowly pulled Mac into his arms and he suddenly heard the bus pull up outside. Mac must have heard it too because she sat straight up and looked him in the eyes. Youre right Billy, I should trust my heart she said. And what does youre heart tell you he asked? That I love you too she replied. Oh Mac, you have no idea how much this means to me he said pulling her close. He pressed his lips to hers and sighed knowing she was his again. Come on, wed better get home he said as he stood and pulled her to her feet.  She just smiled and let him lead her out the door and to happiness
