CHAPTER TWENTY ONE
"You look tired," Billy stated. "Why don't you take a nap?" "Will you wake me up if mommy wakes up?" Will asked innocently. "You bet!" Billy looked at the small child who was now curled up into a tiny little ball on his lap. Billy tightened his grip around the little boy protectively, while holding on to Mac's hand with his other hand. Will began to snore. Billy laughed lightly. "You know, I may have just met you, Will, but I already love you. Both you and your mommy are all I care about. You two are my life." Will began to wake up. "Hey," Billy smiled. "That was a short nap." "Are yoy my daddy?" Will asked, catching Billy off gaurd. "Uh," Billy stammered, "yeah. In everyway that counts. I'll be your daddy." Will hugged Billy. Billy hugged back. That night, Will slept on Mac's hospital bed as Billy watched his son and the love of his life sleep.

*next morning* "No, don't take Will away from me!" Mac cried. She had come out of her coma, but was still in a deep sleep. Billy was startled awake. "What the--Mac!" Billy gently shook Mac awake. "Billy?!?!?!" Mac asked surprised. She was still groggy from the drugs that she had been on. "Yeah, baby, it's me," Billy smiled, taking her hand in his. "Oh, no!" Mac cried suddenly. "Will!" "Shh," Billy said motioning to the boy that layed soundly on the bed. "Oh, thank God," Mac said. "How are you?" "I should be asking you that," Billy said seriously. "You gave us quite a scare." "You too," Mac said. "He's mine, isn't he?" Billy asked as he stroked the back of Will's head soothingly, lovingly. He already knew the answer, he just need to hear her say it. "Yes," Mac admitted quietly after a moment. "Why didn't you tell me?" Billy asked. "Why didn't you come back so we could face this together?"
CHAPTER TWENTY THREE
"Billy," Mac started, "I-" *knock, knock* "Yes?" Billy asked, rather annoyed that he and Mac had been disturbed. "Billy!" Ashley said in shock. "Mac! You're awake!' "Yes," Mac smiled. "Ashley, would you please take Will back to your house or to my grandmothers? He needs a real bed to sleep in." "Sure, besides, I think that my daughter could use a playmate," Ashley smiled. "I wish that I knew her. What's her name?" Mac asked, avoiding the inevitable conversation she would have to have with Billy. "You'll know her. I named her Elizabeth," Ashley answered. "Billy asked me too. Because its your middle name." Mac gasped. "I'm honored." "Here Ash," Billy said quietly as he gently picked up Will and handed him to Ashley. "See ya later," Ashley smiled. "So why didn't you tell me or come back?" Billy asked onver the door was shut behind Ashley.
CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR
"I'll tell you. But, you have to promise that you'll let me explain. You can't interrupt me or anything. Not until I'm done," Mac said. "Alright," Billy smiled as he kissed Mac's hand. "Just know that I love you and that I'm not mad at you. I just need to know everything. I know about your past, but I need to know why you left me. Why you didn't let me come with you." "OK," Mac said as she started to cry. She hated having to relive these memories. "You konw that my stepfather used to beat my mom and I, but I wasn't completely honest. It went past physical and emotional abuse. He abused me sexually. He even threatened to kill me and the people that I loved the most in the world. I ran away and I ended up here in Genoa City. I thought that I'd escaped him. But when I saw my mother here in town, I knew that he wasn't far behind. I knew that if he ever found me, I'd be dead. So would my family. So would you. I left notes for you and my family. I wound up in LA where I found out that I was pregnant. I got a great job as a fashion consultant at a magazine based in California. The reason that I only wrote my grandmother and father was because I knew they wouldn't track me down if I asked them not too. If I wrote you and asked you not to track me down, you find me even if it killed you. I didn't tell you I was pregnant because I was terrified. Not of your reaction, but his. He would have killed you, Will and me. Even though I've been an adult for a few years, he was still a big threat. Two weeks ago it ended. He died of cancer. I was getting transferred to the branch here in Genoa City and I was researching schools for Will. He's been my life for the past five years Billy. Sometimes it was painful, others not. He reminds me so much of you. On the special days, it was hard because I knew that you weren't there. On days like our anniversary of our first kiss, first date, the prom . . . but, then he reminded me of the gift that you gave me. You gave me our son. Billy, I was coming home next week." Billy was in tears. "Mac," he said emotionally, "you should have told me." "I know," Mac smiled apologetically. "Can you forgive me? Can we maybe try over?"
CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE
"Mac, I forgave you a long time ago. There really was nothing to forgive," Billy smiled. "As for trying again? . . . I wouldn't have it any other way, especially now that I have a son." "I love you," Mac cried happily. "I love you too, with all my heart-" Billy started, clearly over joyed. "And with all my soul," Mac finished. She laughed a little. "Billy?" "Yeah?" Billy asked. "Kiss me," Mac said suggestively. "Gladly," Billy said as he leaned into to hungrilly take her lips in his. He stopped short just before their lips met, "I thought you'd never ask." With that they kissed each other passionately. Yet it was sweet and full of love. With in two months, Mac and Billy took a vacation to Vegas, leaving Will in Ashley's capable hands. They went to Vegas so they could elope. Will and Elizabeth (Ashley's daughter) had become best friends. On the day of their first wedding anniversary (February 14), Mac gave birth to a beautiful, happy and healthy baby girl, who they named Breanne. Thus, completing their family. They lived happily ever after.
