And the world grew cold dark and ugly. shallow and empty. degraded and broken. and man grew dumb. numb to afflictions of others. apathy gone. guilt gone. intellect gone. humaneness gone. the values that set man apart, evaporate to the heavens. and the only good men left are considered trite, weak, and liars. and the evil that slowly swallows the world --breaking the minds of the unfortunate-- emerges in the taunts, the insults, the lack of benevolence, and the guiltlessness of the young unfortunate.
