As the world grows darker
I begin to see in a new light
as the clouds deepen starker

of natural phenomana
as the titans clash
and the olympians bicker
the clouds crash
and thoughts quicker
I assume the position of role model
modeling the guy who lost it all before
for money, for liquor, for fame
and i sidetrack
and i digress
i pick up the slack
and i feel distress
clothing on my back
cast into flame
cast into shame
cast into abyss
cast into bliss
i weep and i strive and i yearn
and i sleep and i drive and i learn
to live in fear of the dollar
to live in fear of the lawyer
to live in fear
