Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda will host a two-night show of his artwork, entitled 'Diamonds, Spades, Hearts, Clubs,' at Gallery 1988 in L.A. this Sunday and Monday (night two is a private VIP reception). "I've always wanted to do an art show. This is a really big deal for me," Shinoda tells AOL Music.

Ten pieces from the 28 being displayed will come from the artwork for the Fort Minor album. "I did so much of the Fort Minor music that it wouldn't make sense for somebody else to do the art work," he says.

As a result of the show, Shinoda has collaborated with some of his favorite artists, including Greg Simkins, Gary Baseman, Dalek, Seen and Joe Hahn. "I love those guys and I had never met them until this art show became a reality. I basically started the pieces, then I sent them out and they were finishing them."

While many of the originals are already spoken for, Shinoda is making sure fans can take home souvenirs: "I made some programs. I did a series of skate decks, which are based on the Fort Minor artwork. It's five decks and they work together to make one piece. And then I made some really nice prints. The decks and the prints are super-limited edition, so when they're gone, they're gone."
