1. One Step Closer
Director: Gregory Dark
Date: September 2000
The video was shot in Los Angeles. The band performed in an old Subway-Tunnel, which is also a hiding place for some weird people. There are also some teenagers who discover that place. Phoenix doesn't play the bass in the Video cause he was, at that time, studying [he came back to the band in 2001]. Kyle Christner played the bass in 'One step closer'.Joe himself made the concept for the video.
2. Crawling
Director: Colin und Greg Strause
Date: April 2001
The Video's about a girl (played by Katelyn Rosasen) who's abused by her father. Linkin Park choose that Theme because they wanted to make something that fans could realte to. At first they wanted it to make quite a bit heavier, but that's not what the Record Label wanted - so the made a compromise that both - the Record Label AND the band - accepted. The Video should not have a happy and, but as they made the compromise it got one.
4. Papercut
Director: Nathan "Karma" Cox und Joseph Hahn
Date: 28. April 2001
This was the first time Joe Hahn and Nathan Cox worked together. The guys perform the song in a room that's really "Living-Room"-like - there is a couch and some pictures on the walls. But in another room, next to the living room, is a weird and frightening creature and some insects that look like dragonflys. When the video ends those are flying into the room Linkin Park performed the song. The athmospere of the video is pretty scary and frightening. They used special computer-technologys to get those feelings. The video was shot BEFORE they shot 'In the end', but it was the 4th single-release ('In the end' was the 3rd one).
3. In The End
Director: Nathan "Karma" Cox und Joseph Hahn
Date: Juli 2001
The 'In the end' Video was shot on a Soundstage in Los Angeles. The made the surreal Landscapes and the Maya-Statues with special computer-technologys. The whole landscape changes while they play the song - it begins to rain, bats are flying around - but at the end it changes again: it's like paradise, with butterflys and whales flying around. But why are there flying whales? Joe explained it: "It's a natural thing. If you think about whales, the first thing that comes into your mind is water, but he's like a opposite to the landscape, cause there is no water in the video. The flying whales are just the connection between the ground and the Statue we are playing on." Joe Hahn and Nathan Cox wanted to keep the things in the video really surreal, and it's supposed to give some hope. Nathan Cox said the following about it: "Some people may think the song's really negative - in a really hopeless way [see the lyrics: I tried so hard and got so far / But in the end it doesn't even matter. On the other side it has this really positive tone - but the words are kinda negative. So that's why the world's hopeless, empty, but then it begins to rain and the world is changing to a really beautiful place."
5. Points Of Authority (wurde nicht als "richtige" Single verffentlicht)

8. Faint
Director: Mark Romanek
Date: 29. - 30. April 2003
The band's peforming the song on a dark, not really lit up stage - in front of los of people. The most of the time the guys on stage is filmed from behind them - you can just see the backs of them. The feelings are shown in the moves of the band. Chester goes to the front row while he sings the last bridge [and screams "No! Hear me out now . . ."]. After that he turns around and goes back to the platform - now you can see his face (for the first time). You can also see the faces of the others in the following minutes. The video was shot in Hollywood with hundreds of LPU-Members who "played" the fans.
9. Numb
Director: Joseph Hahn
Date: 2. - 3. Juni 2003
The video was shot on two places: Prague and Los Angeles. It's about a girl who's picked by her schoolmates - only drawing makes her happy. The girl is also cutting herself and has some problems with her mother. The video continues, and at some point the girl let's her anger win - she strikes around. LP perform the song in a church at the same time. The shooting was supposed to be done in a church in Prague BEFORE their Europe Tour started, but Chester got sick so they had to shoot it when he was fine again. The shot was completed in a church in Los Angeles when Chester wasn't sick anymore [the Europe Tour was also done after he wasn't sick anymore].
10. From The Inside
Director: Joseph Hahn
Date: 4. - 5. September 2003
The video was also shot in Prague. The band performs the song while a lot of people are demostrating - the people are fighting with the police and crash the whole town. You also get to see a young boy who gets between the two fronts. After some time he begins to scream and lets his anger out. Joe explained: "It's my favourite video until now. I discovered the magic of this town when I was shooting 'Numb' here in prague. I decided to come back for another shooting. I finished the concept and was really caught by the tension of this song. There is a lot of enegery and a lot of feelings. I wanted to show those things in the video and I also wanted to show, that something can happen - even when you don't expect it. The video's about strenght. We filled the streets of prague with hundreds of people and told dem to destroy them. I don't know if we're alowed to come back."
11. Breaking The Habit
Design: Kazuto Nakazawa
Animation: GONZO
Time of production: November 2003 - April 2004
It was made in the japanese Anime-Style - it's really emotional and serious. Chester dies, after he was confronted with some problems - Im Video stirbt Chester, nachdem er mit mehreren Problemsituationen konfrontiert wurde und am Ende sieht man LP auf dem Dach eines Hochhauses performen. Joe's comment: "I'm a HUGE fan of japanese animes. I always wanted to make my own anime and that was the perfect time to do it. The Video is tha last one from 'Meteory'. I got the inspiration for the various situations from fans I met while touring. I remember people telling us, that our music helped them to get through some difficult situations in their lifes. The 'Breaking the habit' Video is our answer to our fans. It's our way to show them that we're listening to them - and it's also a "Thank you" to our fans for their support." Every single scene was drawn by the peoples at GONZO in Japan. It was a lot of work.
