The very first quilting with Violet- a practice run!         Our little Pomeranian, Tish, loves her new blanket!

These are of my very first customer quilt. I did all freehand meandering on the body of the quilt,
except in the small squares, where I used a block pattern of four hearts.
The border was done using a pantograph of feathering. The husband of the lady who made the
quilt top had told her to just throw it away! Once the bright primary color thread was used,
the quilt 'came alive'! She was a very happy Grandma! The quilt was for her 3 year old grandson.

The bright red, yellow and blue in the thread was perfect for this quilt!

These are of my second customer quilt. I did 'stitch-in-the-ditch'around each star, and Stars and Loops
in the sashing and the outside border. This was a really fun quilt to do!
I was really pleased with how it turned out, and so was the customer!

This was for a lady who lives in Fort MacMurray, Alberta. A long distance job, where she left it up to me to decide thread colors and patterns. I emailed her a lot with examples of patterns and thread colors, so she got to make most of the choices herself. It was another happy success!

Getting the quilt 'loaded'.                     All on and ready to go!

The quilting went really well, although there were a few small puckers
caused by irregular piecing and uneven seams in the quilt top.

These are of a Christmas Quilt done entirely in applique. The lady told me to just play with it
and do whatever I felt it needed. This was a LOT of fun! I did contour stitching, cross-hatching, loops and tiny meandering. The border was done in a snowflake design.

The whimsical Christmas quilt, all ready for binding.

Below are pictures of a quilt I did with my regular sewing machine.
This was the catalyst for the decision to go into the longarm quilting business!
The quilt went to South Africa as a gift to my Mom-in-law. She loved it, so it was worth the effort!

A few odds and ends!

Customer's baby quilt in progress.                      This Bargello quilt top is the one that started it all back in 1990!

My trusty little van - just keeps on truckin'!
