Awesome David Lawrence: On Poetry

The Society NY, 31 December 2006 before the Society assembled

EXODUST-TO-DUST

WHOSE fault is it anyway
Mea Culpability guilt never questioned
Jeopardy answers hypocritical consequential untruths
Moral superiority choked to death

WHICH is the other side
Choosing middle road options foreclosed
Tag team ringmasters wrestling conscience
Strangle hold suffocating pressure applied

WHAT`S in it for US
Oily motives vested interest wheeler-dealers
Misfortune spinning out of control
Hubbly-bubbly pipeline dreams wispy curlicues

WHOSE God responds to prayers
Damned whichever wayfarer road taken
From bittersweet thereafter to eternity
In limbo wandering soul transmigration

WHICH is the opposite sex
Stolen glances thinly veiled threats
Kismet kisses smacking lip service
Aroused fatal encounters humiliating rapes

WHAT`S in store future castoff
Evil comes in many guises
Bad blood brotherhood reeky hatemongers
Tarnished brass knuckling under meltdown

WHOSE country is it anyway
Arabs rarely forgive never forget
Always managing to get even
Blind eye-for-eye betrayed innocence avenged

Texas Taxes

No mosque in my neighborhood
Lone Star rating borderline xenophobia
Hogwash racist swine slinging mud
Our God`s little acres off-limits

PrejudIce cream pooper-scooper banana split
Bitter chocoLatency never on Sundae
Only vanilla exotic flavours prohibited
Crowing magpies remember the Ala mode

Off-key Redneck White Castle Blues
Crowning gory bleeding heart thorns
Yellow rose Bushwhacking wasp stings
BigoTree nipping tolerance in bud

Islammed doors unwelcome matter-of-fact yanked
Muslim chance second coming foreclosed
My-oh-migrant tio-taco whacko loco-motives
No aliens trespassing my neighborhood

Where the Right Went Wrong

NEW YEAR`S RESOLUTION

As we climb naked
Shivering in blustery wind
Vowed promises missing rungs
Snow birds announcing thaw

As our flowering trees
Have forgotten to blossom
Himalayan myths misty teardrops
Deep glacial fissure scars

As we dance around
And kiss so passionately
Your lips resurrect hopeful
Possibility of eternal spring

As you hover near
And drain my nectar
Wounds embrace your flesh
Sheltered within my petals

As your palate grows
Ever richer and deeper
Our caresses become loving
Nipped buds fully blooming

As our joy returns
Resuming steep upward trek
May our doubts taproot
Somewhere else this year

SICKENED BY POETS

Awesome David Lawrence commented at the request of THE SOCIETY:

I am sickened by poets who complain about the CIA. If the CIA had not been stripped by Democrat presidents, 9-11 might never have happened. How do you fight wars when the CIA and the FBI are not allowed to share information?

I am also sickened by poets who bemoan Saddam's lynching. If anyone deserved capital punishment, it was Saddam who murdered close to two million people.

I also throw up when poets complain about our illegal war in Iraq. What illegal? Sadam had committed so many UN infractions that we were not only within our rights to go in there but not going in would have made a mockery of international law. Also, a suspicion of WMD's can outweigh questions of legality.

Now it's Iran's chance to have nukes. When millions of Americans lie dead from Moslems riding bronco nukes, we can thank great sympathetic liberals and soft-hearted-headed poets for their treachery.

The biggest joke of all is the myopic poets who use cultural diversity to justify their appeasement of our enemies. I remember my corny cross-cultural anthropology course in college where the professor tried to teach us that tribal customs of clitoral circumcision made sense within the context of the African culture. He had his degree from Harvard, the school for clever fools, heartless game players who justified all indignities rather than to take arms against a sea of encroaching troubles.

How do females liberationists and gays support Shariah law and boast about the idiots in Iran who stupidly praise it? Under Shariah law, the women and the gays are the first to lose their rights. Those who bolster Sharia would scream if there were a Santa Claus put in front of their court because that would be mixing church and state. No, better to support a total theocracy like Shariah. Who cares that Sharia is an abomination to women and that it executes gays and apostates? A woman is one fourth of a person in Sharia courts.

And what about the poets who blame Bush for not interfering in Darfur but don't mention the Moslem killers who are murdering the Christian Africans? What does Bush have to do with them? The complainers are the same Democrat fools who complain that we supplanted a dictator in Iraq. Now they want us to go into Darfur despite their variable isolationism.

And what about the poets who think the Moslem problem is the result of hunger and joblessness. They forget that the 9-11 terrorists were all eating pretty well and Atta enjoyed his strip clubs.

Terrorism is a result of extreme Islam, Sharia and sects like Waahibism. It does not come from not having enough Big Macs. The liberals think we can end it with some good "dialogue" with the enemy. Why not chat with Hannibal Lectar before he eats a victim? Why not speak to Jeffrey Damler before he chomps on a boy's thighbone?

Who can speak so well that he can talk sick killers out of killing? Or their brothers--the suicide bombers? Why don't the artsy poets quit blaming our country for the primitive, cruel things other backwards society's do? It is easy to say all cultures are equal. That makes you seem fair-minded rather than simple-minded. But you have to be perverse to protect the bad because you don't have courage to defend the good. You have to be stupid to not recognize that there is goodness even if it is difficult to explain to doubters and nihilists.

As for the poets, when you feel for your enemies you abet their evil. When sensitivities are sensitive to the wrong side, you champion evil. When you don't have the courage to defend good, you are evil. When you use your creative gifts to promote everything wrong with the world, you sicken me. Give me one Republican poet. I am sickened by the rest.

is a writer of some distinction. A self proclaimed idealistic visionary Dr Fredricksen claims many credits. We enjoy reading his work, though we cannot accept mouslem as a religion of peace. A little too much fire and sword came our way. Visit Dr Fredricksen's website for more information.
