The
Teragen
The Teragen movement is a philosophy particular to a few
radical members of nova society. Though the movement was brought into the
forefront by the shadowy nova, Divis Mal, the Teragen claims that Mal is not
its leader, only its inspiration. The Teragen ascribes to the credo that novas
are a separate species from the rest of humanity, and thus the laws,
conventions, history and morality of Homo sapiens do not apply to them.
The Teragen's stated goals are to "liberate" novas worldwide and help
them realize their potential "by any means necessary."
Though the Teragen does not specifically call for
separation from or aggression toward the rest of humanity, many of its members
display a supremacist contempt toward baseline humans, and acts of revolutionary
violence against "baseline fascism" are not unknown. Some members
have also displayed a capricious callousness toward baseline
"playthings," tarnishing the movement's image in the process.
Since the Teragen claims not to be an organization as
such, but merely a collection of like-minded individuals, radical acts by one
sympathizer cannot be directly linked to other members; thus, for now, the
Teragen as a whole has avoided massive retaliation. Nonetheless, the Teragen
maintains a great deal of secrecy, and it is rumored to have hidden members and
bases of operations worldwide.
The typical Teragen member hates Project Utopia with a
passion and actively seeks the Project's destruction, believing the Project to
have the worst of intentions for novas. The Teragen knows about the defection
of the Aberrants, and has heard rumors of the existence of Project Proteus, but
the group as a whole has not adopted a unified stance toward the Aberrants (not
that the Teragen enacts "policy" anyway). Most Teragen feel that,
with time, the Aberrants will come to them. The Teragen views the Directive
with similar loathing, as a baseline agency attempting to suppress novas'
rightful destiny. The Teragen takes a helpful, sometimes nurturing stance
toward corporate, government and individualist novas, attempting to emancipate
them from slavery to baseline concerns and help them realize their true place
in the world to come.
Leader(s): Geryon, Epoch
Aside from Divis Mal and Count Raoul Orzaiz, Nova
Vigilance, the NV, is the most visible facet of the Tergen. They are the
self-appointed guardians of the One Race, looking for abuses against novas and
then delivering retribution. As sort of an anti-Team Tomorrow, the two groups
have engaged in skirmishes on numerous occasions. Unlike the Primacy, Nova
Vigilance is a reactive group, not a proactive one, concerned with protecting
novas. Members of Nova Vigilance are firm believers in lex talionis: an eye for an eye. Attacking novas in the media and
you can expect a very public demonstration of backed by NV. Assault or kill a

Right now, NV is working to dispel the idea that novas
are here to be the world’s saviors or the their scapegoats. If they don’t
protect their own, the baselines are going to run roughshod all over them. Most
importantly, NV is making inquiries into the rumors of a Project Utopia
concentration camp in
Leader(s): Shrapnel and The Confederate
On the surface, it appears that Nova Vigilance and the
Primacy are one in the same, but where NV is reactive, the Primacy is
proactive, especially in promoting the supremacy of the One Race and the
creation of a nova nation. NV prefers public acts where the Primacy uses more
subtle tactics, threats, terrorism and sabotage. Among the Primacy, nova
supremacy is the ultimate tenet and baselines are nothing more than talking
monkeys without tails who should serve novas, not the other way around.
Shrapnel views Project Utopia as a personal affront and oppression of the One
Race and should be stopped at all costs.
The Primacy’s radicalism has increased with the arrival
of The Confederate and the movement has moved from political to a supremacist.

Leader(s): Count Raoul Orzaiz
An open group of loosely associated Terat’s, the
Casablancas act as the eyes and ears of the Teragen. While other factions of
the Teragen blithely good about their business, the Casablancas hover on the
periphery, using their contacts and skills to make sure that no truly nasty
surprises are in store for the movement. More recently, the Casablancas have
taken on the role of coordinators, helping to turn the Teragen from a loose
association of like-minded novas into an efficient organization. Former
Tomorrowite Saxon can personally attest to how dangerous this new organization
can be.
While many have accused the Casablancas and their de
facto leader of being fencesitters, maintaining ties with both baselines and
remaining members of the Teragen. Despite the overt brutality of other elements
of the Teragen movement, it is the subtlety and alleged numbers, two
Casablancas for every other member of the Teragen, that truly worries Project
Utopia.
Leader(s): Narcosis
One of the largest Teragen factions, Pandaimonion consists
mostly of poseurs and wannabes, used by Narcosis to expand her influence around
the globe. Sheer numbers give Narcosis significant power among the Teragen, and
she can call up “loyal revolutionaries” (read: expendable sycophants) as easily
as she can pick up her phone. They are the self-proclaimed “new gods” and most
have ties to N! and the XWF, while others are dilettantes and playboys whose
skills have outstripped the baseline playing field. Of course, other novas are
tired of Narcosis hogging the spotlight and want their time in the sun.
The Pandaimonion is Narcosis’ sword and shield for
increasing her own power and fame through brainwashing baselines into becoming
her flock. While a true believer in the Teragen philosophy, her sense of
self-promotion is ultimately a threat to other members of the One Race.
Leader(s): Altaz “The Apothecary” Zia and Leviathan
The Harvesters are a safe haven for high-Taint novas who
have become so deformed that there is nowhere on the globe they can go. The
Apothecary has set up locations around the world to hide the Harvesters while
he examines the Taint, but the Harvesters are tired of hiding and their minds
have become nearly as monstrous as their bodies. They hunt the streets of the
nearest cities and towns, usually their first victims are friends and family
members who shunned them before turning their attention to targets like Project
Utopia and Team Tomorrow. The Harvesters take their names from their dream of
“harvesting” Taint for power, or harvesting the world, separating the nova
wheat from the baseline chaff. Then burning it.
The Harvesters are inhuman within and without and while
not all of them are insane, the Taint has, in a few cases, unhinged their
psyches to the point that they make serial killers look like innocent children.
A The Apothecary views them as such. His misshapen, powerful children.
Some Harvesters grumble that they are the new human race
and that all baselines should be eliminated immediately. The Apothecary
councils caution and study before any extermination takes place, but Leviathan
argues that The Apothecary is weak and the Harvesters should be led by someone
who embraces Taint rather than hides behind theories.
Leader(s): Tarik ibn’Mahmoud
The Compaions grew out the Palestine Liberation
Organization under the guidance of Jordanian nova Tarik ibn’Mahmoud. Tarik uses
his contacts establish small safe havens throughout the Middle East and
encourages novas to gather in small cells to avoid detection, not all that
dissimilar from terrorist cells. Because of the strife in the
As for Tarik himself, he agrees with the Teragen
philosopy, but ultimately, his goals are to accumulate power and influence in
