The building is newly constructed and the walls lined with numerous shelves and cabinets.  The collection is being built one carefully transcribed tome at a time.  Often obtained at great personal peril, the Horizon Collection represents the attempt of a few dedicated souls to preserve knowledge gained over the millennia; now endangered by war, plague, and the depredations of evil.
The Building itself, as well as the contents, are protected by numerous Arcane, Holy, and Demonic Magics, as well as more conventional means.  No expense has been spared in the construction and protection of this project.  Thus, the public at large can safely come and make use of the information housed there.
The quiet setting and comfortable tables and chairs make it a good place to research ones questions.  The elderly Scribe, Lawrence Binder, attempts to aid those who wish help and serves Goldthorn Tea and Gingerbread Cookies to those who wish a light snack.
A catalogue of cards listing the various tomes and scrolls and other items is available to help locate things.
The Library of the Horizon
On one wall a large slate has been hung, and the ongoing Timeline Project is being traced out there in colored chalks.  The information there is transcribed to parchment each day as more detail is gathered and corrections of estimates made.
((Out-of-Character Details))
((The Library is represented virtually by a Forum-based Website maintained for the purpose of providing a place where Lore collected In-Character can be gathered and made available to characters as an RP resource.  The collection of information will grow over time as characters contribute. Contributions are accepted from sources outside the Horizon as well as members. We only ask that the information be gathered In-Character.  This can include recounts of adventures and discoveries made, as well as transcriptions of books, scrolls, tablets, or even those cute little gray items you sometimes pick up.
The timeline is an exception  For that we are scrounging information from any source available. We would also like notes of events significant to the server itself.  Feel free to contact Aislin by in-game mail if you wish further information.))
