I'm enjoying using your almanach & would like some more information
regarding where to obtain next year's copy, in this country.
T. Ross, San Francisco: (Jul96)
But I would hate to miss my 1997 edition!
Tom Robinson, San Luis Obispo, California (26dec96)
I am most impressed with it. I have been running around waving it at
family and friends ever since. I find it packed with useful & interesting
information and refer to it often.
February 1997 edition of Swiss Amateur Astronomer Magazine
"Orion" (review, page24):
... user friendly ... valuable addition, for the layman as well as
for the adept ...
Vaughn, Kalamazoo Community College (astronomy teacher):
I begin each class by projecting the current weeks pages from your
Star Diary on an overhead. I blow them up by a factor of 2.56 so
each page fits almost exactly on an 8.5 x 11. Then I go over what
is happening in the sky each day. I interpret the daily Moon parameters
and the weekly Sun and planet parameters for them. We also run through
the key dates. Often they understand some of your references to people
and events that I don't, at least those having to do with popular culture.
It makes a nice, friendly way to start the class; reduces stress, etc.
After that its all push and enterprise.
I make assignments involving the use of the Star Diary that I give
them for homework. So far these have involved the motion of the Sun
and the Moon. I also use it when I cover seasons.
...
I think the Star Diary is a very valuable tool and I intend to stick
with it indefinitely.
Mike Steinsnyder, California (26aug97)
Seems like a great idea your Pocket Diary, may just get me keep records...
Mark Wrigley, Aspley (23oct97)
Keep up the good work!
Keith Burnett, England (05apr98)
Yup - I'll take the stonehenge one. As anyone who is mad enough to
market personalised astronomical diaries must be trustworthy, I enclose
my credit card details.
Sam Wormley, US (08sep98)
By the way your 1998 Astro-Diary is Excellent... I put it up there
with Guy Ottewell's Astronomical Calendar.
Lorin Spaulding, US (07jan99)
"Thank you for a great little astronomical tool! It is absolutely the
greatest pocket-size tool, has all the information I want. ... It's perfect
and I carry it everywhere. I especially like the anniversary date notes,
like Umberto Eco's birthday and the anniversary of James Watt's steam engine
patent. Brilliant. I hope you will be producing these for a long time to
come!"
Hugh Wilman UK (5Feb2001)
... you've packed an amazing amount of information into a very compact
space---very clever.
Scott Collins, Ann Arbor (Feb2001)
I found out about the APD when I saw one on a friends desk, picked
it up and browsed through it. Very cool.
Jamie Dillon, Salinas (Sep 2001)
I use your APD incessantly.
Frank Daar, Berkeley (Oct 2001)
Dear Norbert, First of all, thank you for making such a wonderful
diary. In addition to being able to use the star and planet data
in my Earth Science course I fill the school daily bulletin with esoteric
anniversaries from your collection. I would like to order one of the 2002
edition. My credit card is a Visa .....
Katherine Gorman (Feb2002)
I am writing this e-mail to you on lunar new year's eve after being
introduced to your diary by Shannan Mortimer in my current hometown of
Dangjin, South Korea. I would like to order a 2002 edition for myself
at the following address:
...
I am so incredibly impressed with the amount of pertinent information
that is compiled in such a convienent volume... with even a waterproof
cover. Divinely inspired to be sure... I want to get one for my sister
and myself for 2003 ...
John E. Place, Tolleson (April2002)
A friend gave me a 2000 diary as a gift, and I have used and enjoyed
it immensely. I want to order 5 for year 2002, and 5 for year 2003.
