WEATHER FORECASTERS--6/20/04

You ever notice how the weather forcasters are always trying not to be bearers of bad    news?  It's getting out of hand...

Don't you love how they always spin the upcoming weather to make it sound                 wonderful?

"Finally some nice cooler weather is headed our way."

Doesn't matter if it's a 14 degree Canadian cold front.  Nope, it's "a nice break from       our hot weather."

It's funny how we never realize how bad off we are til they tell us.

"
Sick of the burning sun?..."

"Actaully... yeah, it seems hot."

"Well, we're finally gonna get some nice clouds tomorrow."

"... *gasp*... thank goodness... *croak*... so... hot..."

And it doesn't matter if we needed rain desperately, two days later they're like...

"Well it looks like we're FINALLY gonna be rid of these showers."

It's like we've always just had terrible weather and tomorrow is gonna be wonderful.

But really, how hard is that job?  Don't the computers do all the work now?  I mean       what do they do?  Just once I'd like to see a weatherman looking at the computer           models and going, "Hmmm... they may be wrong," then go outside, lick his forefinger,    put it in the air, and be like... "Ah-HA!, I knew it... rain tomorrow instead."

Personally I think the whole thing is a hoax... when things are changing they never get it  right.  It's only when the weather is the same day after day that they are able to              'forcast' correctly.

Wow.  Good job.

It's mid-summer... "Well, looks like tomorrow is gonna be another scorcher: hot and       dry, folks."

Oh really???

Gee... THAT'S ODD FOR JULY.

Didn't see that one comin... nice call.  Hmm... maybe you sholuld get a raise for this...
