You need a blog, right? While Blogger does you give you your own blog, but does not host images or anything like that.
No example is currently available due to search problems that my computer is having.

Xanga.com
Xanga is probably the best choice. They are affiliated with Amazon.com, so that's so bad, eh?

LifeJournal is probably the most well known. Here, you can create a journal for friends only, everyone, or even a communtiy.

This an interactive blog place, where you participate in the chat that's in the chatroom and post your feelings, good or bad, in the forum... don't forget to sign the guestbook. Ultimate Blogger was created by me and doesn't edit out anything!
