Currently going on at Degrassi-Boards.com is a Musician's Murder Mystery. The m.m. is only available to those who are in the "musicians" clique and since I, the editor, am in the clique, I must say I have enjoyed reading this murder mystery and the people in are doing a good job at roleplaying. Below is some of the murder mystery. Due to privacy issues, I am only going to post a few lines of it until it is completely finished and I have full permission from the people moderating this roleplay: The moon shone only a little slimmer of light upon the tents that were scattered around, all holding sleeping campers. Earlier that day a large shuttle bus had brought the campers, all varied in age and gender, to the secluded area that was nearly six hours driving distance from the more domesticated camp site. All of the campers were experienced now with the outdoors and welcomed the adventurous stay in the darkened woods. Suddenly, a loud and shattering scream echoed around the camping grounds. Campers once sound asleep shot up in their beds, looking around wildly. The screaming amplified as the sound of another's voice joined in. Fearful of what was occurring, multitudes of campers huddled in their tents with their sleeping bags clutched in their trembling hands. A few moments later the screaming and noise stopped. Michael Morgan slowly went forward, placing his hands on the pulses of the two counselors. With sullen eyes he turned toward the group a moment later. "They're both dead." Knowing there was no time to waste Dawn Connor whistled for attention. As all eyes turned to her she said forcefully, "You guys, let's get out of here! Lets go to the shuttle bus! NOW!" As we began to walk on soggy dirt I suddenly stumbled and jut forward violently towards the hard ground. Luckily Michael Morgan moved quickly and caught me before I landed on the hard ground. "Easy," he said, steadying me on my feet. The others stopped and turned to look at me, some in concerns and others with annoyance. I looked back at where I had been walking, trying to discover what had caused my near fall. My eyes caught on an indention in the ground that was the size of my heel. I felt a surge of deja vu go through me and my eyes went wide. "What?" one of the boys asked, catching the surprised look on my face. I shook my head in amazement as my mind once again flashed back to the murder scene, and the image of a similar indention in the ground near the body. "The murderer... It is a female." Her words sunk in loud and clear. The murderer was female. "And your certain of that?" Michael asked. "Yes," The young woman replied. She pointed to something on the ground. A few of us came in closer to see what it was she was pointing at. "It's an indentation of a heel." I said. "I saw that same indentation" she continued, "near the body of that boy; after he was killed." Her voice rose with fear as she talked. The ladies continued their arguing. I tuned them out to add things up in my head. I was lost in thought for about a minute, and then it dawned on me. Earlier tonight we were planning to leave by bus, but we found it with tires slashed and the wires yanked. I didn't recall any of us turning back to camp to grab our belongings, so quite a few people still were wearing their heels and nice shoes, rather than their comfortable walking/hiking shoes. This could only have meant one thing. "The murderer was with us the whole time!" I blurted out. Sounds like a pretty cool thing, huh? Well, y'all will see how it finishes soon ... in a future article.
