Regulation

                Without disobeying something, there will be no any regulation at all. Do you know what regulation actually is? And what is the function of regulation?

                Human is social creature so that in daily life they have to be in contact with other people. Because they always have interaction each other they need something which can set up and bind humans to always obey the rule that has been established. Regulation is made to set up humans in a group to avoid brutal attitude, etc.

Almost in every organization has their regulation. Based on Indonesian dictionary, Regulations are binding provisions citizen groups, is used as a guide, order, and behavior controller appropriately and acceptably. Every citizen must obey the rules, or size, the rules are used as a benchmark to judge or compare something. LYDIA HARLINA MARTONO said that rules are guidelines for human life orderly. If there are no rules, people can act arbitrarily, without control, and unruly. So, in conclusion regulation is something which we must do, if we break the rule we will get the punishment.

 There are some type of regulations, which are written regulation and non written regulation. Written regulation is a regulation that is written by certain people who have supreme power and there will be the signature from the person that involve on it so that the rule can become official. Non written regulation is a regulation that is not written by anyone, it is only mentioned by someone. All the things have the function, as well as the regulation. Regulation has a lot of functions, which are for making all the things (such as: a country) become peaceful, to make everyone more discipline, regulation stands as a social control, etc.

Actually, written regulation is stronger than non written regulation. Why? Because everyone can complain on non written regulation but if in written regulation everyone can’t complain and they must obey it. Written regulation usually binds and forces everyone. Not only that, written regulation can’t be changed. Everyone has different paradigm. Maybe they will think that as long as the rule is not written by someone and no one make it officially by signature so they can still break the rule.

How about school’s regulation? Do we need to make it as written regulation? I think yes. Because sometimes students do not agree when they break the rule and get the punishment, especially when they break non-written regulation. They will complain to the rule, because there is no written regulation that can threaten them. Complaining is not good for anyone, it can create anyone to be destroyer for all the things. But, if the rule is in written regulation they can’t complain, and on the other view the one who has authority on the rule can show the rule as the proof that they must obey and they will get punishment if they break it.

So, from all statements above we can think that how useful written regulation actually is. It can reduce people’s complaining. Written regulation can help us to make them more discipline without any complain on it. And it can help us to behave well to solve every affair.
