Individual - posts arrive to subscribers as single posts throughout the day Digest - post arrive bundled in a single transmission once or twice a day No Mail - posts are temporarily halted; this is used in lieu of unsubscribing to stop mail Digest mail has its advantages for those who can become overwhelmed by large volumes of email. The individual setting does not guarantee immediate reply to posts. To get immediate reply subscribers would have to be available on line. The only way to see immediate reply would be through Yahoo using a Yahoo ID and password under the Message Section where posts can be viewed individual as soon as they are received by Yahoo. Otherwise there is a delay going through subscribers service providers that is variable throughout the day. Members with Yahoo IDs have the capability of setting their delivery as they require for their situations and as events dictate. They have more control. And the services of the moderator is not required so settings are immediate. |
